For those of you who don’t recognize this featured artist, she’s an native Australian rapper who goes by the name Iggy Azalea (not to be confused with Harlem rapper counter part Azealia Banks). If that doesn’t ring a bell, perhaps her viral You Tube Videos, “PU$$Y” and “My World” might. I guess 2012 must be the year for white female lyricists, as the rapper/songwriter, also featured XXL’s, Top Freshmen List, announced her record deal with Interscope and collabo with Atlanta rapper T.I. and record producer Jimmy Iovine for her upcoming album earlier this year.
One things for sure though, comparisons to Cali rapper Kreayshawn are inevitable for this freshmen. But seriously, there’s not much to compare, the two have two distinct styles and “dope” appeal. I’m just happy that there’s more product to choose from. Perhaps its the beginning of the end for the Minaj Roman Empire?
“Murda Bizness” ft. TI is the first single from the debut album, “The New Classic” set to drop this June. Looks like its gonna be a hot summer? Or too is it too early to tell? I’m not one to prejudge an album before it drops, but I think you can expect a variety of production on this one.
